Today was amazing! Such a welcome change from yesterday! Even though we all slept in big time (that usually equals a bad start for me since I like to get up early) It didn't even phase me. I like to think that the Lord knows how much I love Halloween and gave me some special attention today. Thank you!! El got up and fixed his costume. Poor guys is so stressed about school and the 10 days that he will be away from it, that he can't even really be that excited for Hawaii yet, even though it is about 4 days away! I don't even know how the time has gone by so fast. Gosh! Story of my life it seems. But after we got the kids dressed and had the latest breakfast/brunch we headed out and ran to to a halloween store, one of my favourite things to do for halloween. Today was technically the last day to go, and it was so much fun! We treated ourselves to a little McDonalds and Carls Junior on the way home, but I don't feel guilty about it. It was lovely!
After lunch, I got Natalie dressed up in her pink princess costume and we went over to the main library's Halloween block party! It was so much fun! Games and crafts and story time and lots and lots of trick or treating. Just the best. Even better than last year I think if I remember correctly.
This smile is so contagious as Ray put it. I really can't help but break out into the largest smile just looking at her
in the glow in the dark room with the glow in the dark singing ghost AND her glow bracelet. This was a very cool place she decided!
meeting some very friendly cops
We then ran to the library to drop off and pick up, and smiths to grab some last minute stuff for dinner. I then rushed home and made some sweet and sour chicken, Els favourite dish. We got dressed in her mermaid costume this time, but with Anna's cape and a sparkly tiara, so she looked more like a regal princess, which she thought was awesome! We headed out to E street in the aves for some great trick or treating. I swear they should just call it halloween street during the month, cause its so amazing. There was a haunted house again, all kinds of decorations. The street literally rang with spooky halloween tunes and glowed orange from all the lights. It was so great! She had so much fun and did such a great job saying "plick or pleet" I don't ever want her to grow up!
And the candy!
