Gateway shopping, lunch and a beautiful walk in Memory Grove with Jen

Today Jen leaves and I can not figure out how three days has gone by so fast!  I'm sure it went by so fast because they were so wonderful and the whole weekend was such a wonderful one with Sadies Bridal shower to kick it off! We woke up today and headed out to Gateway mall so Jen could buy some new bras, and I let the kids have fun and walk around the mall.  They did get fussy after a while and Jen felt so bad that she took us out for lunch even though she didn't have to! But it was really great and we really appreciated it (more the kids than us probably)

everything was interesting to these little tykes!

caught the perfect little picture of my three little loves

we needed a break from our super slow stroll

Nellies thought it would be so cool to walk her brother haha good times had by all I guess

We came after our fun lunch outing, and the kids all took naps, I cleaned and had some nice down time talk time with Jen before we got up and took a beautiful walk up into Memory Grove

11 years now and so many more! Like a sister to me!! We've both been through so much and we've done it pretty much side by side and wouldn't have it any other way!

Having fun with fun aunty Jen

Made chicken fajitas tonight. Started as Jen was packing up headed to the airport and finished once she left.  We miss her already, but can't wait to see her again!  Love her so much!!!

Sunday blessing, shopping and temple square

Today we didn't go to our own ward, since Kayla Hall had invited us to her baby blessing. Plus it was Els last sunday where he was super tired and his parents ward didn't start to 11 so he could go to all of church.  He actually left early ahead of me and Jen to go to Priesthood with his dad, which I thought was very endearing of him.  It was a great church.  Gospel doctrine was wonderful as usual and the kids all did very well in nursery.  Natalie got to see grandma Tala and Papa and play with Heni. We came home, ate lunch put the boys down for a nap and Jen and I left with Natalie to the outlet mall in Lehi to get some stuff for her.  El stayed home to study for his Calculus and Physics test on Tuesday.  El has been needing new runners so we were in the Nike outlet and I spotted a pair that were on sale, we looked them up and they got 5 stars across the board!  Safe to say I snatched them up for El and surprised him when we got home.  Jen bought two new pairs or runners, and a purse while Natalie and I shared a drink at rocky mountain chocolate factory.

Jen was exhausted when we got home and Natalie cured up and they both took a tiny little nap while I got the dinner on and waited for Tash to come over.

He has Pesto chicken pasta.  Super easy and super light for a hot muggy day

We then headed over to Temple square and walked around and talked like our old college days and met up with Luiza, which then reminded me of my really old college YSA days back in Calgary!

Ballet, visit from Jen and some festive errands

Today we woke up and it was pouring out!  Of course it would happen on Saturday when Natalie has her ballet and El's last day of work so I was all alone.  I packed them in the car trying not to get them super wet and we made our way to Ballet.  There was nothing really to do outside so we just came home and asked El if he could come back with us to get Natalie since I didn't want to get all the kids out in the pouring rain just to pick Natalie up.  So we was wonderful and got up and came with us.  I can't wait until next week when it becomes a regular thing!

We came home and played in our ballet outfit for a bit until I got her dressed and ready for aunty Jen to come. We were all so excited!!

Jen came around the same time TJ came for a boys day.  Jen and I took the kids to Citi Creek to get her some food and let the kids play in the dino park since it was so rainy outside.  We unfortunately came across a very rude lady in Jimmy Johns, but hopefully she was just have a bad day.  I tried so hard to let it go.  She came down from one of the office buildings and ordered 26 sandwhiches.  Didn't think to pre call and order them ahead of the time to save everyone a headache, nope not this lady.  So for the first 5 minutes my kids were very well behaved, but around 10 minutes they were getting antsy.  We ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes!  It was so bad. And by that time my kids were going crazy running around the store.  Two older ladies were so sweet and started playing with them, empathizing with my misery at that moment, but not this lady.  She told us there is a reason why some species eat their own young!  Wow!  Well moving past that.  I had to document it since I cant' actually believe it really happened lol

We got home and Jen left for the wedding and I left to pick up the boys a white shirt for their missionary costume and then I stopped in a Seagul book and picked them up future missionary name tags!  So excited!

We then played with play dough after dinner until bed time.

Natalie plugging her ears from Laddy screaming cause he wanted to eat the play dough

Laddy's face after I told him he couldn't eat it.....such disappointment!

volleyball, halloween store, ice cream and the bridal shower

Today was Els day off school and its always exciting cause we usually get to spend the whole day together.  We got up and went to Els Volleyball and let the kids play in the nursery.

We then stopped at two halloween stores.  It was fun I love this season and its makes me feel very motivated to put up the fall/halloween decorations.  I usually have the fall ones up by now, but this year I am having trouble letting summer go and welcoming in fall. When we took the boys in we looked at the robotic decorations (the ones that move and talk) and for a second the boys thought they were very interesting and even a bit funny.  That is until one cheap skate decoration had this little monster bat thing shoot out last minute.  It made me jump and scared the crap out of Laddy!  He jumped and screamed so loud and grabbed on to El.  Spencer than proceeded to cling onto me.  I could let go of him and he wouldn't fall because he was holding on so tight with his arms and legs. Natalie then started to cry and I had to rush her out as fast I could.  The rest of the halloween experience was much better looking at tinkerbell for Natalie, pumpkins which Natalie loved and puppy costumes since puppy is the boys favourite word to say lately.

After we went and got some ice cream and arctic circle

We got home and the boys went down for a nap.  Natalie and I made a stop at the library to take back some books and take out some more.  While we were there we ran into Aria and Espen and hung out with them for a bit.  We then saw Ashleigh Basset as we were leaving smiths!  I love when I see friends out and about.  We came home and made meatballs and a cucumber salad, which did not really turn out. Don't think I'll make that again.  Tash came over to babysit the boys and Natalie and I headed to Kaysville to Sadie's bridal shower.  It was so much fun!  I got to hang out with Sadie and meet Jessica and hang out with Sarah.  I really miss Sarah so it was such a fun experience to catch up with her!  She always has such an incredible attitude towards everything and life, and its really actually inspiring to be around her!

Natalie had so much fun playing with girls that were there including Sophie, Sadie's little sister

It was a flight inspired party so of course it wouldn't be complete if we didn't see the amazing Sadie in action.

Play date with grandma

Today the kids all woke up at a normal time, around 8:15.  We played a little in the morning and relaxed before we had breakfast around 9. I let Natalie watch an episode of a Barbie show while we ate breakfast and got ready to head to grandma's house for a play date.  We played outside for nearly 4 hours, jumping and playing catch, eating snacks and playing in the sprinkler.  Perfect Thursday morning!  We had so much to eat at grandmas house that by the time we got back, we didn't even have to make lunch.

This was the first thing she wanted to do, was jump

and then it was to take off her shirt lol

this girl

Im so glad Els dad set this sprinkler up, they had a blast in it!  It was like having their own little splash pad in the backyard

taking a break out to eat some snacks

Natalie was drawing in a book, and so both boys had to have their very own book as well to draw in, with their very own pens

I thought it was really cute how mom had Natalie set up sitting on the table in front of her.  She had arthritis in her knee so its hard for her this week to have any pressure or little ones sitting on her knees.

We came home for a nap, I fixed up some torn library books that I will take back tomorrow.  Chicago fires new episode was one today I sat down and relaxed and enjoyed a bit of my show for a while.  I also decided that I need to loose at least 7 pounds for Sadies wedding and for Hawaii, so I ate celery, red bell peppers with ranch dip and some slices of marble cheese.  Thats it, and I was surprised to how yummy it was and filling.  I then ran an errand, came home and started preparing dinner.  We had home made baked sweet and sour chicken with baked vegetables and rice.  It was just as delicious as the picture looked!  Definitely going to make that again, and its very possible I will make it again tomorrow

After dinner, I put on a quick movie for the kids while I cleaned our blinds. I honestly don't think they have ever been cleaned before.  Which is actually disgusting, being that every apartment should have professional cleaners come in after the previous tennents moved out.  Not impressed the how these people did not clean!  I also cleaned under my stove yesterday and found all sorts of things that did not belong to me.  Seriously if your going to be in the professional business of cleaning, do it right!  Okay and that is my rant for the day :)

Have way through my cleaning just as the movie ended and I switched to disney music on my ipad, Natalie wanted to play with her play dough.  Such a great buy, because I think she played with it again for nearly an hour tonight too.  We also broke in our new paints earlier today while I was making dinner. I was so busy cooking that I didn't get a chance to snap a picture of her though.  Bright colors and completely washable with water.  Gotta love crayola!
