Natalie's new Booboo

So Natalie went out this weekend to Football with Auntie Nat and the boys, Trevy and Kenyon.  I guess she was having fun chasing Trevin as usual and tripped and skinned her little nose.  So sad, but it happens. If its not her knee, I guess its her nose.  Grandma Pe'a said that she didn't' even cry though, sounds like Natalie to me.  Was up and chasing Trevin again.  She felt so bad though, even though I kept telling her it wasn't her fault and that it was okay.  Toddlers get hurt :)

Her poor little nose

She has this long scratch that takes up almost her whole nose.  lol  Poor Natalie

She still doesn't really seem to care though, playing about as usual

The newest editions to the Pe'a family

We are so excited to welcome these two new precious boys into our family.  Spencer (after El's brother)  and Lester (after my grandfather).  They are healthy little guys and good sizes.  Here are some pictures that I have finally posted.  They are from July 5th, so they are about 24 and a half months along.  They are looking so great!

They are boys!

Here is Twin A. What a cute little head!  Can't tell who they look like yet though

Here is twin B.  Lester or Spencer, I don't know....

Here they are together.  I think this is a really cool picture!   We are so blessed to be given identical twin boys.  I guess that only like 10% of identical twins are boys, so we really got lucky!

Belly shots at 31 weeks + 2 days

I look like I am about to pop, but unfortunately I still have about 5 weeks.  Hopefully I can last close to 5 more weeks.  Lots of bed rest, no walking and drinking a lot of water will hopefully help.  My OB Dr. and the Ultrasound Dr. both said that things are looking good.  Had the Steroid shots a couple of weeks ago,  and now just trying to make it to this friday, August 31.  That would make me 32 weeks and at 32 weeks, babes are known to do just as good in the long term as babies born at full term. Still have to be in the NICU for a while, but at least in the long term, no major health issues.  That is a relief.

31 weeks and counting

I feel like I am 50 weeks.  I am so much larger than I was when Natalie was born. Its kind of crazy!

Back in Salt Lake City

My new Dr. is amazing!  Dr. Holmes.  She is so incredible!  My cervix some how measured longer this week!  Don't know how, neither does she.  When all this went down about two weeks ago, my cervix went from 5 to 2.5 to 1.8 in a month and they rushed me to the hospital in Canada, measured everything and gave me steroid shots.  Now steroid shots are the MOST PAINFUL shot I have ever had.  I really like felt like someone shot me in the hip.  I couldn't walk afar and I had to take tylenol for the pain and I bruised.  They are the worst shots ever and I had to get two!  Ahhhh!  But its all for the boys, so its all good.  But this week my cervix measured at 2.5-2.6 which is still short, but much better than 1.8.  My Dr. wants me to try and get to 32 weeks, 2 more weeks, cause I guess at 32 weeks, a lot of the complications and risks go down such as bleeding of the brain and intestinal infections and so on. (All very scary things to hear when you don't know if you will make it)  But I am doing everything I am supposed to, keeping off my feet, laying down a lot and pretty much spending my whole day on the couch.

We still don't have insurance so we are trying to figure out how we are going to pay for the babies.  We have decided that we are going to try and qualify for the financial assistance and IHC hospital and see if we can get accepted for medicaid again.  In order for us to do this, we need to get rid of the money in our savings, so we have decided to buy a new car to invest the money in.  We are looking at Nissan Altima's.  Hope we hear back on what is happening with our Highlander in Montana.

31 weeks now and feeling like I am 41!  But Dr. said if I can get to 32 weeks than the babies do just as good as babies born full term.  So we are praying and crossing our fingers!

August so Far

August is turning out to be a tough month for me.  I was put on bed rest the very end of July and may I tell you it sucks!  I can't do anything anymore.  I bought my swimming pass with Jen and can't use it anymore cause I am not even aloud to go swimming.  You would think swimming would be good, since your like 30% of your body weight but apparently not.  Sad!  So I have resorted to eating, sleeping and living on the couch.  Its very boring.  My mom has been amazing though, helping me get food ready and looking after Natalie.  I couldn't do this without her.  We are now back in Salt Lake City at our new apartment with my mom.  Its good to be back, but I miss Calgary!

Natalie + Yogurt = MESS!!

This was natalie's attempt at eating yogurt.  She more or less painted with it instead.  It was pretty funny!

New News about the babies

Went to my ultrasound today and found out that my cervix is super short at 1.8 inches.  I am only 28 weeks pregnant so its really bad.  They rushed me to the hospital in Canada to get checked.  They were so scared that I was going into pretuerm labour and being only 28 weeks pregnant, that would have been awful!  They ended up giving me steroid shots with hurt like crap!  It felt like getting shot in the hip!  I couldn't even walk after it was so painful!  I had to take tylenol.  And they had to do it twice, 24 hours apart from each other. But what ever needs to be done for these babies I am going to do!  They have put me on strict bed rest, which is hard since I can't go out and hang out with anyone and can't do much with Natalie anymore.  But we have to do what is best for the babies.  Eldon is coming up next week to drive me home and my mom is flying back with Natalie so we can all be in the states.  Hoping that I will make it through this week without going into preterm labour.
