Back in Salt Lake home sweet home

We are back in Salt Lake.  Friday was a bit of a crazy day!  That morning before the plane ride, as we were getting ready and finishing up packing, I ran into my parents living room because I heard one of the boys screaming in pain.  I thought in my mind it was lady, since Ben likes to bite him, and I was right!  But it wasn't Ben's typical biting, he really took it to a new level!  He had bitten Laddy 8 times all over his back and on his hip and almost broke skin twice!  Laddy was just all red and swollen.  I had to ice his back and then rub polysporin all over it to try and heal it faster.  Ben got the biggest time out of his live on daddy.  Then we rushed to the airport only to realize that we have left Natalie's new cinderella on the counter.  We got there and had to wait another 43 minutes at check in to get the boys tickets all set up.  But customs went better than expected and they had fun kids stuff at our terminal while we were waiting to board. Delta was wonderful to us and the plane ride went really well!  The kids were great!  They just slept and played on 2 1/2 hour flight. So grateful for my wonderful kids that day!  We got home and Tash picked us up, but we had to leave El as the airport since his moms car broke down so only tash could come and there was no way we were fitting everything in the car.  So she dropped me and the kids off at his gramdma pe'as hosue and we hung out there until El came back and we picked up pizza that night and just hung out and relaxed as a family back home. It was wonderful!

Saturday 16th was really fun too.  We spent the day not doing too much.  we did make a trip to Ikea and then Els favourite fried chicken place.  It was really nice! We then got ice cream after. We just relaxed and tried to put some stuff away and hung out until El went to work that night

Sunday 17th  was nice, but the kids were really fussy and El was so tired, that we made it to one hour of nursery, and then we went home to accommodate the kids.  I tried to do some grocery shopping and came home to be met with Daniel and Dustin visiting before their drive back to Rexburg, and then Sadie, Jon and Lyman came over to visit with us.  It was a wonderful Sunday!

Monday 18th was really good.  We took the kids out to a splash park and let them run around and then got some lunch and then took the kids for a bike ride and down to the dinosaur park that night.

Tuesday 19th was El's last day before school started so we headed to volleyball in the morning around 11, then we took the kids to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point which was really fun!  We headed home and everyone took a nap and I went out and did some last minute errands and food run for Els week at school.

Wednesday 20th was my first day alone with the kids in 4 months!  I was different but it was nice getting back into routine.  We met Lily and the kids that morning for a play date at a wonderful little playground literally 2 minutes from our place.  We will definitely go back there!  It was really nice seeing her and talking to her agin and letting the kids play together.  Natalie and Lydia will start dance together on the first saturday in September.  We are both so excited for that class.  Its so wonderful that they will get to dance together as well!  They will be doing ballet, tap and some tumbling, so a perfect combination for 3 year olds!

We came back and had nap and then took a trip to Carls Junior in memory of Els Brother Spencer since today was his birthday. It was really nice.  We then headed to Marnie and Tony's place for Vivienna's weekly practice with El. It was really nice letting the kids run around the backyard and talking and catching up with Marnie. Such a nice night!

Thursday 21st was a very lazy day!  We all didn't wake up until 10!  I woke up at 10 first and ran into the kids room, thinking the boys must have been awake for hours stranded and trapped in their cribs, but Ben had just woken up and I ended up waking Laddy up.  Natalie didn't even open her eyes until 10:30.  So we took the day really easy and stayed inside for most of it.  It was a pretty cool and rainy day anyways.  I was able to get out while the kids napped to make a DI trip and pick up some new clothes for the boys since they have outgrown almost everything.  Els mom then cam and picked up Natalie for the night while Tash picked me up to head to the twilight festival and see De La Soul.  Never heard of them in my life!  But they were pretty good!  I was in shock at the new fashion trends!  Its as if people went dumpster diving through the decades of fashion.  Apparently combat boots and skirts are in, as well as grundge and the high wasted, but hanging out shorts.  All the worst fashion trends of the past 20 years made a terrible appearance that night.  It was like a replica of Cochella lol

Friday 22nd  was a good day!  El and I slept in.  He made some ham omlets and we relaxed and watched you tube videos of Game of Thrones until he left to work out and I started a much needed cleaning of the house.  When we got back I started making meatballs for dinner, picked up Natalie from grandmas and brought back my old shoe self since the boys broke my newly bought walmart yesterday.  Sadie then came over and we discussed wedding plans, looked at decoration and dresses and then we had a much needed early bedtime for everyone!  Natalie barley made it through our bedtime stories.  And it is almost 12:25 now so I should probably stop blogging, stop watching shark week (a sever guilty pleasure of mine) and head to bed so I can try and get up before 10 again haha

What my kids do on Friday afternoon!  Natalie was putting her hand in the cereal box and then sprinkling chereo's all over the ground and then rolling around in them haha
