January weekly roundup 3

Wednesday 21st
El just had a TA lab today but he had already finished all his homework, so when Laddy made a huge fuss when El was about to leave for school, it wasn't hard for him to forgo his TA lab and spend the day with us!  It was wonderful!  We took the kids out to Costco for a fun trip and then we took them to the McDonalds play place to run around and have fun! It was so great and so much fun!

El was in the cage helping them play basket ball and shoot the hoops.  The kids love it!

Tuesday 20th
Today we woke up and had a fun breakfast and fun morning, and then I took the kids of a very fun and warm walk down to the dinosaur park and played there for about an hour!  We came home had lunch, nap and then El got home and I started a little project for Natalie's birthday.  She got this awesome dress up chest for christmas, but with our kids it didn't last long being made of cardboard.  So I decided to take the old yellow toy box and convert it into a brand new princess dress up chest just for Natalie personalized and everything!  Here is a bit of the process

breakfast shake

the beginning process.  first coat of white primer over the whole thing

on our way to the park.  They look so excited!

pushing her new stroller

I just love my kids!

Now for the painters tape and pink stripes

Natalie just passed out for nap time which was nice giving me ample time to work on the dress up chest

and voila!  It looks pretty good so far!

Even got the N painted on

I made my home made chicken fajitas for dinner!  I love this dinner!  Yum!

Monday 19th
Today we did a lot of art and more pretend play and dress up!  Natalie painted a wonderful little ditty with her green paint all over our table.  It was so cute!  Oh and today was Marten Luther King Day, so we got to have El home with us for a three day weekend.  We were all so excited about that prospect!  We had a really fun family day hanging out and just taking in everyones company.  It was wonderful!

Sunday 18th
Natalie had a fever the night before and it carried over the next morning so we didn't want to wake her up early for our 9 o clock ward, so we opted to head over to El's parents ward for sacrament since it started at 1.  It was good we did, since Natalie didn't wake up until 12 noon!  Sick kiddo.  But she seemed to do good for the remainder of the day.

Saturday 17th
Easy saturday since Ben can't do much of anything right now.  We took a long fun drive, picked up some U clothing for the kidos and then went to the games night at Jon and Sadie's.  Such a great night!

Friday 16th
So yesterday Natalie was trying to pull Ben up on the couch, and they were both having a difficult time. All of a sudden Ben screamed out in pain and I thought he maybe sprained or twisted his wrist.  I watched him all night and he kept holding his arm and when he woke up he was still crying saying "owy" and holding his arm.  I knew then and there it was ER time.  I called Tash to come over.  Luckily she was close since she was at the LDS hospital with El's dad for his gallbladder surgery.  She rushed over as me and Ben ben rushed off the Primary Children's Hospital Emergency.  When we got there they thought it might be a sprained wrist, or dislocated shoulder, but the more they looked and painfully felt, they concluded it was a dislocated elbow. (they call it a nursemaid elbow)  They had to pop it back in and Ben turned blue and white and almost passed out and screamed so loud and so hard, harder than he has ever screamed before.  But, when all was said and done, he was eating a popsicle and playing with a dinosaur!  Yay!  All better.  I still have to ice it at night before bed for the next two days for swelling and he can't do any kind of rough play or hanging for the next three days, but no more pain!

Thursday 15th
Picnic day!  We got up and played a slew of make believe games.  One in particular was a picnic.  We got out Natalie's little blanket and all the play food and set it our and had ourselves a picnic. It was marvelous. We even toasted our little tea cups haha. :)  I love my life and I love my kids and I love being a full time stay at home mommy!  I literally could not be happier!

we brought out the tunnel today and the kids just love this tunnel!  So much!

Then Natalie got all dressed up to have a "dance party" with kids music on my ipad.  Love those dance parties!  We really rock out to them

And then it was picnic time.  I love Natalies imagination and Ben and Laddies sprouting imaginations that are modeled so closely after Natalie's.  Such a wonderful life!

two batman's and a witch!

El even brought out his batman hoodie and then there were three haha

And of course we can't have three batman's without a beautiful princess in the mix!  This has been Natalie's new thing to do.  Pose for pictures like a little model.

Watching Dino King, a fun little documentary inspired story about the life of a T-rex dinosaur.

Wednesday 14th
Fun day at home since it was a bit cold out today.  We hung out inside, ran around, played dress up and had loads of fun!

eating ice cream and being very excited and happy about it!
