canada

our stop at the mcdonalds by the border on the way up

Finally in Calgary. Poor Natalie was so sick with what we thought was Kawasaki disease.  Thank goodness that was just a scare.  Thanks goodness I purchased medical insurance as well!

The way before picture of the dollhouse Im doing for Natalie;s christmas present this year

First time at the cabin, looking over at the new cabin on our lot

Since we came so much later this year in late august to early september the weather was a huge change!  No hot basking weather for us this year! :(  sweater weather every day

our first fire at the cabin

my moms first smoothie bowl  Sadly she did not like it.  Her teeth are so sensitive it was too cold.  Sorry mom! I forget you microwave your ice cream

Taking a walk down to the playground

We did get to make a few sand castles though so that was nice

Natalies new minnie mouse ears we found at the antique store.  She is really in a huge minnie mouse kick and will be minnie mouse for halloween this year

They loved this wagon, and Laddy loved trying to pull the wagon

This is what we had to endure the whole week we were up there. It was so disheartening.  It was crystal clear the entire summer I guess, and the one week that we come down, we get the algea!  I swear this lake just hates our family!

So we just played on the sand. I suppose it wouldn't have been very hot to go swimming anyways, but the colder the air, the warmer the water, so I had my hopes up for sure!

At the farmers market playground. I love the old wooden playground. I don't understand why we can't just have them again?  They were so safe when we were kids

Family togetherness before dinner

I forgot we had a bike for Natalie at the cabin, so I and her were very pleasently surprised when we discovered this.  It was so much easier to ride her bike on the flat cabin roads, than the hilly roads back home.  Sad!  I wish we lived in a less hilly area!

picking firewood with grandpa

being very excited for the camp fire again

playing with fun uncle Ryan.  I think...

He wasn't acutally sleeping he was just haveing a really fun pretending he was sleeping for everyone.

more sand fun.

back at home now and getting ready for the bachelorette party and fixing up the dollhouse.

I brought it out to sand and redo the roof.  It was lovely working on it on the deck as the kids played with grandma at the park.  such a lovely day!  I really miss you  mom!  I miss all of our adventures.  Our days were always so packed full of fun things! dollar store stops and star bucks runs were so fun with you!

Its really coming along!  Its such a difference than when I had it as a kid!  She was so excited to see the outside being painted pink

Jens dress fitting

the inside almost finished product

The bachelorette luau!  Its was such a hit and was better than I had excpected.  He had so much fun playing the games and talking and eating we didn't even have time to do the scavenger hunt I had planed.

The day after the bachelorette party we were going to go down to the lake, but it was such a rainy weekend, that we ended up taking the kids to Tommy k Play.  Mom remember how excited and relieved we were when we found out we were staying and we could have fun here in Calgary haha.

this little crazy girl

outside in the rain. It was a cold and rainy weekend!

I guess its the heavy population of asians, but dragon fruit is only $2 something!  Ugh!! its $6 something here.

Loving painting on her new Elsa frozen giant coloring pages you bought her mom

Our amazing trip to Calway park that they turned into Halloweentown!  It was such a great kick off to halloween stuff!

another fun bike ride

our trip to Cross Iron mills for our anual trop to the sketchers store to buy Natalie her sparkly light up shoes

The boys played in the play area while we were picking out the shoes.

We literally walked in the store, she saw these and it was love at first sight!  She was been wanting these style of high tops for a while and so these were perfection in her eyes!

Last night with grandma on the couch.  She was really sad about leaving grandma behind.  She thought she should definitely be coming back to salt lake with us

we got up early in the morning and she didn't do too well with that.

But this was the majority of the trip back home thank fully!
